Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress, known for roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the late 80s, she began her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab, in which she starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next appearance on screen was Dil along with Aamir. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she was able to learn dance at an early age. She ventured into acting as a youngster and struggled through a couple of years since most of her initial films failed. In the end, she was successful in Indian filmmaking and rose to the top. Following her marriage the actress took time to rest from her acting career prior to returning. More recently she played an integral character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women across India. Dixit was nominated 15 times for Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of the awards. Padma Shri - the fourth most highly regarded civilian award in India awarded to Dixit. Also, she is well acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
