Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about her childhood within "a white bubble." She also shares how that realization has affected the way she raises adoptees who are multi-racial. She is the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress revealed in a recent interview she was told that when it came to skin color -- she didn't care the way she looked, but after she spoke about her sister's age, whom she adoptive to South Korea, she realized how differently society viewed each of both. "I I asked my sister Meg to tell me if she'd been treated in one manner when she was walking around with our parents, and another way when she went out on her own without anyone else. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl talked to parents about how she realized the naivety of her actions. She admitted that she was frustrated however she was also aware of that she had to channel this anger to assist her children. Heigl as well as her husband of 13 years -- singer Josh Kelley -- have four-year-old son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. The couple adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8), who is black in 2009.
