Laura Linney was one of the best American actors to emerge from the past. Her strong and flimsy roles have made her a household name. Born to a famous playwright father, but was raised by a single mom who made a living as a nurse, she began to take an interest in theater while having summers spent with her father then pursuing acting studies, first at Brown University and then at Juilliard School. The actress began her Broadway career after her graduation in the year 2000, before making her TV debut in the next year. She has been featured on a number of stages, films and television productions since then. Over the course of her career, she won many awards, including her two Golden Globe Awards. But despite the many nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for theatre remains in her, and she performs onscreen and onstage.
